DOT F1v1.0 · lap lab

Every lap here is the DOT F1 engine's own physics simulation of the car, setup, circuit and weather you choose. An independent fan project, not affiliated with Formula 1, the FIA or any team or manufacturer.

3D models

Each model's author and licence is shown under it (Sketchfab, CC BY 4.0 or CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), resized and split for animation. Non-commercial use only where the licence says so.

Circuits & data

Centrelines and widths: bacinger/f1-circuits (MIT), TUMFTM racetrack-database (LGPL-3.0). Elevation: EU-DEM, SRTM, ASTER, USGS NED. Real lap references: TUMFTM f1-timing-database (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0). Fuel loads: FIA regulations and manufacturer data.

Scenery

Asphalt and sky HDRI from Poly Haven; grass, gravel and concrete from ambientCG (all CC0). Barriers, kerbs, trees and buildings are generated from the track data.
